Premium cataract surgery is an advanced, customized version of standard cataract surgery designed not just to remove the cataract, but to reduce your dependence on glasses and improve overall visual quality. Inside your eye, there’s a clear lens that focuses light so you can see sharply. With cataracts, that lens becomes cloudy, leading to:

  • Blurry or dim vision
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Difficulty seeing at night
  • Colors appearing faded

What Makes It Premium?

What Is Premium Cataract Surgery?

What Is Premium Cataract Surgery?

Standard surgery: Replaces your cloudy lens with a basic lens- usually clear vision, but you would still need glasses.

Premium cataract surgery is performed with a higher level of accuracy and safety using extremely high quality lenses and very precise surgical techniques.

How Does The Procedure Work?

What Is Premium Cataract Surgery?

How Does The Procedure Work?

Premium cataract surgery works by first using detailed scans to map your eye and plan customized outcome, then removing the cloudy lens. The surgical techniques used to provide premium cataracts surgery address all the erros in the eye, thereby providing a superior quality vision at all distances.

They are made from donor human corneal tissue that has been:

  • Sterilized
  • Reshaped into a tiny, precise lens (called a lenticule)
  • Implanted into your cornea

The primary purpose of the implants is to:

Improve vision by changing the shape and focusing power of the cornea.

Depending on the design, they can:

  • Correct farsightedness (hyperopia)
  • Help with presbyopia (age-related difficulty reading up close)
  • Improve near and intermediate vision

Presbyopia correction surgery is a quick, minimally invasive procedure that reshapes your cornea by adding a tiny natural tissue lens inside it—rather than removing tissue like traditional laser surgery.

The surgery starts with numbing the eye:

  • Numbing drops are applied (no injections)
  • Your eye is gently held open
  • You remain awake but feel no pain

Then, using a highly precise laser, the surgeon creates a thin pocket within the cornea, often with femtosecond laser - this is where the implant will sit.

Next, a tiny, pre-shaped lenticule (Allotex implant) is inserted into the pocket

and is carefully positioned for precise vision correction. The implant is made from biocompatible donor corneal tissue, so it integrates naturally.

Once in place, the implant subtly changes the curvature of your cornea.

  • Light entering your eye is refocused more accurately onto the retina
  • This improves near or intermediate vision (especially for reading).

Why Should I Consider It?

Why Should I Consider It?

A person should consider this surgery because it offers a minimally invasive, tissue-preserving way to improve vision -especially for near and intermediate tasks - while maintaining the eye’s natural structure.

  • Reduce dependence on glasses
  • It’s additive and reversible - Unlike laser procedures that remove corneal tissue, Presbyopia implants

  • Reduce dependence on glasses
  • It’s additive and reversible - Unlike laser procedures that remove corneal tissue, Presbyopia implants use an additive approach (via stromal additive keratoplasty)
  • Uses natural, biocompatible material - which integrates naturally into your eye and lowers the risk of rejection
  • Quick, low-impact procedure (completed in minutes without any stitches, has minimal discomfort and fast recovery)
  • Preserves future options - Because your cornea is not permanently reshaped or thinned: You can still consider other treatments later (like lens surgery or enhancements)

LASIK / PRK / SMILE

How Do They Differ?

How Do I Qualify For The Procedures?

Which Procedure Is Best For Me?

LASIK involves:

  • Creating a thin flap on the cornea
  • Lifting it, reshaping the underlying tissue with a laser
  • Placing the flap back

PRK involves:

  • Removing the thin outer layer of the cornea (epithelium)
  • Reshaping the surface with a laser
  • Letting the surface regrow naturally

SMILE involves:

  • Creating a tiny disc (lenticule) inside the cornea with a laser
  • Removing it through a small incision

Which Procedure Is Best For Me?

The choice between PRK,SMILE, LASIK based on the individual patient requirements.

At the laser suitability assessment an extremely detailed assessment of the entire eye along with specific patient requirements and individual variations is undertaken. This includes a full assessment of eye health. A bespoke individualized refractive plan is then discussed and explained.

WHAT IS KERATOPIGMENTATION?

Keratopigmentation is a specialised procedure designed to safely and permanently change the appearance of your eye color.

We utilize the same advanced laser technology and precision techniques used in modern laser vision correction (such as LASIK). However, instead of altering your vision, we focus on the aesthetic appearance of the eye.

It is important to note that we do not touch or change your natural Iris. Instead, we carefully add a specialised layer of medical-grade pigment into the cornea (the clear outer layer of the eye) to achieve your desired shade and tone.
